Biewers are in need of rescue/re-homing for a variety of reasons. Contrary to popular belief, many dogs that come up for adoption are not from abusive and neglectful homes.
Many good owners offer dogs for adoption due to circumstances beyond their control such as financial reasons, illness or sadly sometimes due to the death of a beloved owner. We also work with breeders who wish to 'retire' dogs from their breeding programs and are looking for new homes for their dogs.
Whatever the circumstance, we are not here to judge. We are here to help. If you are struggling with the difficult decision of whether or not to surrender a dog to Rescue, please contact us and we will do what we can to assist you.
Generally, the hardest part about surrendering a dog for adoption is making the decision and contacting the Rescue. Recognizing this allows us to focus on what is best for your dog. If you have made this difficult decision, then we recognize that you truly must feel it is the best interest of your dog.
If you, for whatever reason, are not able to keep your Biewer, then we are here to help you with this transition. We are not dog re-sellers and will not sell your dog for you...don't ask.
Upon contacting the BBCAR you will be asked to fill out forms concerning the dog/s you wish to surrender. Please note that this information will be kept strictly confidential. All Biewer's re-homed through the Rescue program are done so without their Registration Papers with the dog having being altered prior to placement.
Please note that only the lawful owner of a dog can release the dog to the BBCAR. The lawful owner must sign a declaration that they are in fact the rightful owner and sign a release to the BBCAR to surrender the dog.
Our focus is on the well-being of the dog.

Unfortunately, there have already been cases of this lovely companion breed being sold at auction. If you know of a dog in need of our assistance, please email HELP@BiewerRescue.com
If you know of a Biewer living under inhumaine circumstances, please contact the local chapter of the SPCA. We do not have the authority to remove dogs from their owners.
All Biewers released to the BBCAR for re-homing must be done so by the lawful owner.
